10 Days Old Dolphin Rescued

A baby dolphin is lowered into a swimming pool just hours after being rescued. The mammal was discovered by walkers on a beach near the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo. It was suffering from injuries believed to have been caused by a fishing net.There was no sign of its mother. The dolphin is only about ten days old.Richard Tesore, head of the NGO Rescate Fauna Marina, has been caring for tiny animal in Piriapolis, 62 miles east of the capital, Montevideo.And while his cute charge is a hit with visitors, it seems they must queue behind a penguin if they want to see him. The Magellan penguin is also being looked after at the centre and has taken an interest in the new patient. The natural survival rate for dolphins within their first year of life in the wild is 20 per cent. The death toll of captive born dolphins is much higher. According to the US Marine Mammal Inventory Report did between 1960 and 1993 more than 50 per cent of the dolphins born in captivity within the first four months of life.

Amazing double headed animals - It's Real

The oldest two-headed animal is a good 120 million years old. The fossil of this ancient lizard discovered in 2007 proves that animals with multiple heads are an ancient phenomenon. There are two variants – animals with two heads (bi/dicephalus) and animals with two faces on one head (diprosopus). These are all instances of congenital cephalic disorders, i.e. genetic disorders that lead to anomalies in embryos. Is pollution of natural resources playing a key role in increasing the number of such cases? There is yet no conclusive answer to the debate.

World's Largest Flower - Floralis Genérica

Floralis Genérica is a unique and huge flower sculpture at United Nations Plaza, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Designed and gifted to the city by architect Eduardo Catalano, the concrete/stainless steel flower has petals of polished aluminium. The petals of 23 meter high flower are provided with electro-hydraulic mechanism which is programmed to gradually open/close the flower as per the movement of the sun through the day sky. Thus it starts opening in the morning, its 6 petals fully bloom by noon, showing its stamens and then the petals gradually close by the sunset.

At night it emanates red colour by means of lights which are installed within the flower. The flower when fully closed has a diameter of 16 metres which increases to 32 metres on full bloom. The flower inaugurated in April 2002 is set in a 44 metres diameter circular reflecting pool.

The name Floralis Genérica is meant to represent the collective flowers of the World and the red light in the night is the red glow of rebirth of the next day.

This flower is reportedly the largest floral sculpture in the World. I have not been able to ascertain whether this is bigger or the Giant Anamorphic Red Flower, Nanning Gateway, China is bigger. However this flower is dynamic unlike the two Nanning flowers, where one flower is static and the second is anamorphic.

World Dangerous Bear As A Pet

This 800 pounds grizzly bear called Brutus is Casey Anderson�s best friend, believe it or not. The famous naturalist and his furry friend are inseparable from the day Brutus was a 2 weeks old cub. Casey saved the bear from an overpopulated wildlife park, and raised him with lot of attention, love and respect.

 

Brutus is living in a sanctuary that Casey built so he can freely live like a grizzly bear is supposed to live. Being around Brutus is not dangerous because he is comfortable around people, but Casey is still not letting anybody have physical contact with Brutus but himself. He is not afraid that the bear will ever attack him because he knows and predicts his every move.

 

The two of them are so close that Brutus was Casey�s best man at his wedding.

A famous French shipbuilder and one from Monaco joined hands together to build this yacht with enormous dimensions. Its 58 meters long and 38 meters wide.

The yacht... with a floor area of 3400 M² (36600 Sq. feet.)

with accomodation for 12 passengers and 20 crew members.

This is a "green" yacht.

It use green energy for 20-30% fuel savings and 40-50% electricity consumption on board.

Therefore it has 900M² (9700 Sq. feet.) equipped with solar panels, producing a daily output of 500 kW.

With an area of 200M² (2150 Sq. feet.) it completely covers the third deck. This is the view of the bedroom and bathroom. The sea view is great and there is a private terrace of 25 meters length.

His “wife” is injured and the condition is fatal. She was hit by a car as she swooped low across the road.
