MAKE-UP Base Camp
Get a flawless finish for your big day with our foundation tips

1st Base
A truly flawless complexion begins with beautiful, healthy skin. It makes make-up application ten times easier and can even minimise the amount of time you spend applying it. Exfoliating the night before your wedding will reveal naturally radiant skin, while sloughing off any dry patches for a super smooth canvas.

2nd Base
Premier is essential for ensuring your foundation lasts. Not only does it give your foundation something to hold on to and prevent sliding, but it will also smooth the skin and even the complexion, keeping your foundation looking fresher for longer.

3rd Base
Foundation should only even out skin tone and hide slight discoloration such as uneven patches and redness. A 20 pence-sized amount of foundation is enough to cover key areas of the face and keep your skin looking natural and fresh. Smooth on small amounts of foundation with a synthetic foundation brush in upward motions, focusing on the T-zone and cheeks, and blending with your fingertips as you go. Always balance the skin tone on your face with your neck and chest.

4th Base
Highlighters are amazing for faking a super glowing and healthy complexion, even if you've only had two hours' sleep. With your fingertips, blend a golden cream-based highlighter to the top of your cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the hairline, chin and brow bones. This is great for adding a beautiful sheen that will look extra dewy in photographs. Finally, finish with a soft dusting of translucent powder over the T-zone for maximum longevity.
